Russell Crowe's Cinderella Man boxing costume on display...

In Ron Howard's 2005 movie based on a true story, Russell Crowe portrayed the supposedly washed-up prizefighter, 'James J. Braddock', in the Great Depression of early 1930's America, who came back against all the odds to become a boxing champion and inspiration of his generation.

This boxing outfit was worn by the actor as the 'Cinderella Man', named for his underdog rags to riches story, was photographed on display at Universal Studios Hollywood on October 9, 2014.

Daniel Orlandi was Costume Designer on the sports biopic and you can also see his costumes in Saving Mr. Banks and Frost/Nixon, to name but a few examples.

Meanwhile if you're a fan of the actor, be sure to also enjoy Russell Crowe's Maximus Gladiator movie costume, his Noah movie costumes, his Crusader Knight costume from Robin Hood and even his pyjamas from A Beautiful Mind.

Stay tuned for even more great cinematic finds from my latest visit to the NBC Universal Experience archive exhibit.
